The Challenger League at OMYBS provides boys and girls with disabilities the opportunity to experience the emotional development and the fun of playing Youth League Baseball. The purpose of the league is to provide an athletic experience for children who are physically or mentally challenged, in a wholesome, supervised environment, and expose those children to the benefits offered by team sports.

The most fundamental goal of the Challenger League is to give everyone a chance to play, regardless of limitations.

The Challenger League is open to any challenged child age 5 through 18 (21 if still in school). The child is placed on a team based on skill and safety considerations rather than age. In addition to a coach for each team, each player is assigned a "BUDDY" to work with during games. A "BUDDY" is any person who is a willing volunteer, genuinely desiring to assist in the program.

OMYBS furnishes the Challenger League with uniforms, snacks and trophies at the end of each season.
